Eden Energy Announces Receipt of Drilling Permits for the Noah Federal #1 Well, White Pine County, Nevada

VANCOUVER, July 9, 2007 -- Eden Energy Corp. (OTCBB: EDNE) is pleased to announce that its joint venture partner has received a signed Application for Permit to Drill (APD) from the United States Department of the Interior for the Noah Federal No. 1 well in White Pine County, Nevada. The joint venture partner has also received the Oil and Gas Permit Notice from the State of Nevada Commission on Mineral Resources. The Noah Federal No. 1 well is located in the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 31, Twp. 26N, Rge. 55E in White Pine County, Nevada.

The joint venture partner advises that the next step will be to get a gravel pit permit and to arrange a site reclamation bond, at which point the lease road and drill site construction can begin. Because of the uncertainties of site construction and drill rig availability, the joint venture partner is not yet able to provide an expected spud date.

Donald Sharpe, president of Eden Energy, commented “The receipt of these permits is a critical step towards the drilling of the Noah well. We’re happy with the progress our joint venture partner has made and the concentrated effort they have put forth in order to get to this stage. We look forward to being able to announce the spudding of the Noah well in the near future.”
White River Dome, Colorado

The Company continues to address its two wells in the White River Dome field in Colorado. These wells have good sand and coal sections but to date have not performed up to expectations. After a lengthy review of the other wells in the field, Eden and its partners are preparing additional frac operations for these wells, designed to enhance their productive capacity. These operations are scheduled for the third quarter of 2007.
Eden and its partners have also continued to prepare additional locations in the White River Dome area and expect to drill an additional two wells in this project in 2007.

General:
Eden Energy Corp. focuses on large scale oil and gas projects with significant resource potential. Its Noah project in eastern Nevada contains exceptionally rich source rocks, large thrusted fault blocks, and an excellent potential reservoir rock. The Chinchaga prospect in Northern Alberta also targets dolomitized Devonian reservoirs and its large resource potential fits well with the Company’s goals. These high potential projects are balanced by the lower risk development project at White River Dome in Colorado.
